January 16, 2020
Well, we are well into January at this point. Here in the northeast, we are experiencing surprisingly warm weather! At this time of year, now that the champagne has been downed, the Christmas decorations have been put away, and we are faced with Doing.All.The.Things to make sure we follow through with our New Year’s resolutions, you may be losing some of your steam. If your New Year’s resolutions have lost some of their luster, I have just the remedy for you.
BE KIND TO YOURSELF
Really, I don’t know when NOT being kind to yourself is a helpful thing. Yet many of us tend to be horrible to ourselves on a regular basis. Whether it’s beating yourself up because you missed yet another morning getting to the gym or because you watched that binge-worthy TV show rather than looking for that new job you promised yourself you’d find, it’s all the same. It’s beating yourself up. Would you honestly tell your best friend that it’s not even worth filling out the job application because she’s no good and she’d never get the job anyway? Hell to the NO.
This lovely month of January is Self-Love month and, of course, the first two weeks of February is all about love. So do yourself a favor and focus on being kinder to yourself. Click here for a freebie with loads of ideas for how you can generate more self-love and compassion for you.
Being kinder to yourself doesn’t mean letting all of your New Year’s resolutions go and just throwing in the towel. Being kinder to yourself is a simple way to raise your vibration so that you feel better in general and that will help you to take inspired action on whatever it is you set out to do this year. Action for the sake of it is very different than inspired action which comes from desire and joy.
