What's Your Word?

It seems that everyone these days is choosing a Word of the Year - and for good reason!  New Year's resolutions usually don't work.  So instead of doing the same thing every year with similar less than stellar results, choose to do and think differently this year.

Why do we set resolutions at the beginning of a fresh year, anyway?  Because we want certain things (cars, better job, love, fitter figure, etc.).  Why do we want those things?  Because we think having them will make us happier.  

In the end, it's not about the car or the house or the relationship.  It's about the feelings we think having those things will evoke.  Joy.  Status.  Love.  Freedom...

By choosing a word for the year, you are sidestepping the specifics and focussing on the feelings you want to feel.  Choose a word and then every time you make a choice, think about whether your decision is in alignment with that word.  

By choosing a word and then keeping it top of mind, every time you say it to yourself, you will evoke the feelings that you want to feel.  And by doing that, you are opening yourself up to inspiration.  That inspiration will lead you to make the choices that will get you more of those feelings.  And when you are regularly vibrating those feelings, you will naturally attract all the things that go along with it.
